If you were to get in your car and drive 5 hours, which major city would you reach:
North ? (and a little east) Indianapolis, In.
South? Birmingham, Ala.
East ? Gatlinburg, Tn, (The Smoky Mountains)
West ? (and a good bit north) St. Louis, Mo. is a little over 4 hours, so the middle of Mo.! lol

Bonus Question:

I wish I had paid more attention during growing up ?

Extra Credit Question:

Do you ever sing or hum along with:
Hold music ? Yup
Elevator music ? No way!! lol
Music playing in a store ? Yup

Ever been "busted"/caught dong this ? Yup. When I get stuck on hold for a long time, I make sure I'm humming even after the person answers. Act like I didn't hear them get back on.

Just for Fun:

What is your "normal" wake up time ? What is this "normal" everybody talks about? lol 6 AM

Will you be wanting to turn the "Rain Faucet" on or off today ? I want several rain faucets on around here! We're in a drought! 8" below normal rainfall for the year.

lol Right now it is a running battle between me and my grandson? I'm just not used to a 7 yr old telling his mother what he's going to do instead of the other way around!

If I were to drive north 5 hours, Id probably reach Atescadero or something, heck I dont know. Going east it would be somewhere outside of Phoenix. West would put me in the ocean, as I live on the coast.
Music? I dont sing with it but am an avid listener.
I was caught talking to someone on the store phone when they called, since we cant use our cellphones sometimes people get personal calls (which we try to keep as brief as possible) and when management walked around the corner, I had to pretend like it was someone asking some questions about our toilet installations, since I was standing by the toilet section. Oops!
My normal wake-up time is around 5am, no matter what day it is. If its a day I have to be at work at 6, then Im up at 4:15.
I dont have a father-in-law but can try to make someone laugh today.

Today's Question(s):

If you were to get in your car and drive 5 hours, which major city would you reach:
North ? I live in the only major city in this entire state, which is 4 times the size of Texas! If I drove north 5 hours, I'd reach Geraldton, population 28,000. Not a city, not major.
South? Albany, population 25,000, nothing major or city-ish about it either.
East ? 5 hours? Nothing. Bone-dry, dusty, back-of-beyond nothing! I'd need another 3 hours to get to the mining town of Kalgoorlie, population 30,000.
West ? Even if I was on a plane, I'd still be in the middle of the Indian Ocean in 5 hours.

Bonus Question:

I wish I had paid more attention during History class. I'm fascinated by history now but was bored with it back in school.

Extra Credit Question:

Do you ever sing or hum along with:
Hold music ? No.
Elevator music ? God, no.
Music playing in a store ? A music store? Yes.

Ever been "busted"/caught dong this ? yes, but I don't care.

Just for Fun:

What is your "normal" wake up time ? 6:10am on weekdays. Bit later on weekends.

Will you be wanting to turn the "Rain Faucet" on or off today ? Off. We had some rain this week. Enough already.

Will you be wanting to turn the "Rain Faucet" on or off today ?
OFF. We have been thru a spring/summer, like no other. I offer pictures........

Sand Creek, June 22, 2010

Same location, below, on July 11.

This creek starts, at a dam, and a little lake, named Rose Hill, 55 miles, northwest of where I live. It drains into the already flooded James River, about 1/2 mile, from my house. Last night/early this morning, the area around Rose Hill received 7"+ rain, and the dam on the lake gave way. News reports, that several people who were camping, @ the lake sought refuge, in trees, to save their lives.........
In the next few hours, Sand Creek will be "rolling", like never before. A few homes are probably in danger, along it's banks, but for the most part, it will be farm land that is damaged.
