I was 10; my parents woke my sister and I so we could watch.

I'm not sure what was more exciting to me -- being up after midnight, or watching the moon landing.

How come they havent done it since then??
We were on a plane on the way to Japan to visit my mother when they announced it over the speakers, the whole plane cheered. I was just a kid then but didnt know what all the commotion was about..I applauded and cheered anyway with everyone else, lol.

I wasn't born yet - I was not even on the way
But my father told me he stayed up all night to attend the event (he lives in France, so it was really late -well, early - when it happened!)

I was almost 14. My best friend and I watched the unfolding of the event and all the hoopla afterward
on her little black and white TV in her room. Not sure if we were watching as it actually occurred or not. I don't remember and as I said, their was MUCH TV coverage before and after the event.

One a family trip to ancestral Ireland, we spent the last three days in London before coming home. We watched the landing on a large screen set up in Trafalgar Square amidst a sea of cheering Brits

I was ten - we watched it on black and white TV - then my father and I walked into the backyard and stared up at the moon. Phenomenal.
