Excellent tip, GloryB. I used to soak mine in ammonia and then take a toothbrush to it. Spraying it with a degreaser like ThunderBlast (from the Dollar Store) and letting it sit for a few minutes before taking a toothbrush to it also works well if the diamond is really, really dirty.
