You do realize that gay people have children, parents, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, etc just like you right? FYI it is planned for the first weekend in June every year and has been happening for 27 years. Read the link and educate yourself. Loads of families enjoy the parks together. Only thing you might really hate about the weekend is that the parks are very crowded with people smiling and enjoying the parks just like any regular summer day.

Same with the towns on the East Coast. No problem.

I would say most of central FL in general has come a long way in the past 10 years with acceptance. Of course there are rural areas where people will be more conservative, but most areas of the metro you won't have any issues. Most people mind their business. Also, after the Pulse tradegy it has really opened a lot of eyes/hearts in the area and brought the city together in a big way. You constantly see rainbow "safeplace" or "Orlando united" stickers on store fronts and signs throughout the city. The closer to downtown you are the more common it is to see gay couples out and about, holding hands around lake eola, etc. Like anywhere else be aware of your surroundings because there can be extreme people anywhere. Best of luck.
