Our family is contemplating a move to Clermont/Winter Garden area from Michigan. Which neighborhoods are family/kid oriented with great schools? Looking also to stay far from short term rental neighborhoods. I nelieve the zips ending in 14 are more short-term?? Any info from people about their neighborhhod, good or bad would be appreciated. Thanks

Use search, there ahve been at least a dozen detailed threads in the past two months with a ton of info about the best communities in these areas as well as shopping, entertainment, etc. Then if you have sepcific questions we'll be happy to answer. And yes, 34714 is full of sort term rentals.

I'll help you out. What price range are you looking to be in first?

Default thanks for the help

Thanks so much for your help. We are looking around 250,000-280,000. We also are thinking about Winter Garden. Any thoughts on safety and cost of living in both places? Again, thanks so much for the info.

Parts of Winter Garden butt up against Ocoee which has had increasing crime problems. There are only a few neighborhoods off Maguire as wella s StoneyBrook West and the other community on Stoneybrook Parkway (sorry, Stone something, can't recall the exact name) that I'd suggest in Winter Garden.

In your price range in Clermont look at Legends, Lake Susan Landing, and Crescent Lake Club.

Default Thanks

So glad to get the info. I have done so much research but it is always helpful to hear first-hand from residents. The tips received by private message are much appreciated too. Good luck on the move from NY. Maybe we will be neighbors, as we are interested in the same zip code...Clermont or Bust!!!

I've been a Clermont resident for five years now, and love it here!

We live in zip code 34714, and have had NO ISSUES with some houses being short term rentals. The elementary school is excellent. You are close to Disney, and do not have the traffic you have closer to Route 50 (34711 zip code - actual city of Clermont). Many nice houses are available due to the poor economy.
