Sure!

A GED will definitely get you into Valencia, and as long as your grades are good there, you should ahve no problem transferring to UCF. Good luck!

Isn't there a law in Florida that states that if you get an AA degree from a Florida community college that you are pretty much guaranteed admission into a Florida state university?

I think it's more of a policy than a law, but yes a degree from a Florida CC will get you into a Florida State University.

There might be a minimum GPA (ie don't think you can get a 1.2 GPA and get into an ultra-competitive program in Gainesville) and the "guarantee" doesn't "guarantee" a specific school.

Yes what you ask can be done. A GED gets you in a Community College and an AA will open the doors for your getting into a SUS (State University System) school. Now, that does not mean that UCF has to accept every AA that wants to go there, but you can get into an SUS school. The better your grades and numbers, the more choices you will have as to what that school is.

FYI - as a UCF alum I can tell you rather shamelessly that UCF is an awesome school.

That's exactly what I did. You'll need to keep your GPA above a 2.5 though. I earned my AA from Valencia and I'm currently attending UCF. With an AA degree you are guaranteed admission into UCF but not necessarily the specific college you want to attend. (example: the college of education) Both Valencia and UCF are excellent schools.

Yes you are guaranteed a spot in the 4 yr school after an AA. remember to check on Faspa for grants and things too. These are those lottery monies hard at work.

Lmao @ Gainesville University. From high school I'd say minimum 4.5 with stellar records and extracurricular activities. As far as transfers from cc, I'd say 3.75 or highe4.

I'd also like to shamelessly say UF is the best public university in the nation.
