Can someone please let me know if they have any knowledge of the Avalon Condos and whether they are in a good area?

As a general rule, Semoran is not a good road to live off. There is a lot of street racing at night and many low income apartments in the area. It is not high in violent crime, but a lot of petty crimes. The worst areas are north of Curry Ford (north of the Address you are asking about), the best areas are south of Bent Pine by Lee Vista. If you can afford apartments in that area, it calms down quite a bit and a lot of the apartments are rented out by the airlines so they are often vacant. They are about to build a SuperTarget in that area and some more shopping and dining options. Targets usually do not attract as negative clientele as say a Walmart but it will bring extra traffic and activity to the area adjacent to the airport. I live in Conway and drive through and go to some of the chains in that area. It is pretty nice, but mainly rental properties.

As a current resident, it is a good economic place to live in, They have a security guard working the night shift, and working gates that do not allow walking visitors to come in with out someone meeting them at the gate. They work hard on keeping tenants on a strict policy as far as Home owner rules. It has recently become a great nuisance when they start looking at every little thing you do. I personally do not recomend anyone here anymore. Visitors must be announced to the main office when you know they intend to stay for more than one night. Over night stays can be tricky as your visitors car might be tagged. Unfortunatly for Tenants and condo owners, we all must let the main office know who stays over. There is a community cerfew in effect. Pet policy is that you can not have more than 2 pets per unit. Must not be more than 50 LBS for each pet. Violation of any of the rules must be paid within 10 days and each issue will be $100.00. Avalon Condominiums is starting to be a very unpleasent place to live. Area is not too bad.

I just moved to Avalon, and I love it here. The grounds are very well kept. My children love the large pool and basketball court. They do have a tight security but that is only for our protection so that unwanted people dont come onto the property. My Condo is very spacious, and the amount i pay per month is well worth it. The area is great because everything you need is within walking distance: Grocery stores, shopping, restaurants,etc... The elementary school thats in the area is great too.
