My fiancee and I are moving into the area Jan 2016. She will be working in Winter Springs, while I will be working in Lake Mary. We are a young couple with no children and willing to commute 25 mins to work each day in order to live in the best town.

We want what most young people want - rental home, place to walk the dogs, accessible groceries stores, nightlife (see disclaimer), outdoor activities and to be surround by a generally younger/active population.

Any suggestions?

Disclaimer: we aren't looking to go out clubbing. We are more of the chill bar, watch football crowd.

Thanks for your input!

Look in Altamonte around the mall, Lake Mary by the Town Centre and downtown Maitland area.

I agree with Crane's Rooster. Those three areas are family oriented and have several restaurants with bars perfect for watch football. Tibby's, Twin Peaks, Orlando Ale House, Duffy's, are some of the places that come to mind in Altamonte Springs.

Look around Colonial Town Center in Lake Mary. There are a few apartment complexes walking distance or a short drive away and it's a safe area with a lot going on in terms of restaurants/bars, nearby stores and outdoor activities with a good bit of greenspace and a well-used trail for biking/running/walking. Check out the Colonial Grand Lake Mary, Colonial Grand Heathrow, Ballantrae, Bell Timacuan, Solara and Legends Lake Mary apartment complexes.
