For those of you who are familiar with the Lake mary/Sanford area, do you know if you are allowed to put up any type of fence in the community of Magnolia Plantation? I am interested in this community and have been looking online and noticed that almost no one has a fence. However I did see one home with small iron post fence. Having some type of fence for my kids and dogs is important to me. I do not want to look someplace if it is not possible. Any other places you would all recommend? Thank you for your help.

FLMCG, I'm familar with this community. I've sold several homes in this neighborhood-it's really nice and holds its value better than most. To answer your question, yes, you are permitted to have a fence ( the decorative rod iron fence or the white pvc privacy fence). I can also refer you to a web site designed by community members with all the information you could want.

Check out www.mpliving.com I've previewed over 50% of the existing homes in this community and sold 3 in the past year. I'm also very familar with the realtor and creator of this web site-she lives in this community and has created this web site for the benefit of her neighbors and clients. If you need any other information, please let me know.

I have a friend who lives there with this family and they love it. Its nice and peaceful AND one of the things I love the most are the wild animals that are in the area. If memory serves the back of the development backs up to a wildlife preserve or trust land something like that.

I have seen deer, wild turkey and otter there. My friend tells me they have also seen a Mamma bear with her babies there.

I have seen a few homes with the fences but they are open looking fences, I think it looks rather nice like that. My friends live right on the fareway so its nice and peaceful.

Lindsey, you're right. My clients/friends who are now living there enjoy the feel of living in an upscale country estate while still being so close to all the lovely shopping and restaurants in Lake Mary. Most of the homes are built by Centex and each sits on at least 1/4 to 1/2 acre lots. You can select a home built on a heavily wooded lot or the water and golf course. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy this community!
