Hi
Anybody know anything about this area? Am looking at homes by M/I Homes and they have a community called Sawgrass Plantations. Can anyone tell me if this is a nice area for a family?
Also anyone know wyndham lakes estates? Is this a nice ares?
Ideally I would love Windemere/Winter Park/Celebration or Baldwin Park but way to expensive!!!

Please help if you know these two areas as I cant find anything about them on here!

Thx

** for all realtors - I already have a realtor, I am just doing my own homework!!!**

Default Nice Place for a Family!

The area you are talking about is a very family oriented neighborhood, across the street from one of the largest outlet malls in the US, Walmart, Super Target, all the major eateries, major expressways, Panther Stadium, etc. This is a really quickly growing area, culturally diverse and very well kept. Sunrise has done a nice job integrating the small town feel with the new commerce. I live in Plantation, and prefer it to Sunrise, only because the home are not so "cookie cutter" and there are more trees and parks, etc. Many of my friends, doctors, etc are in Sunrise, so I'm there alot...and of course the Sawgrass Mills Mall calls me frequently!

The OP is referring to Sawgrass Plantation in Orlando, Florida... not Sunrise, FL. Sawgrass Plantation is not near anything in particular. It is not the most convenient area in town to get to. It is a brand new area that was very unfortunate on when it was developed. There are a lot of empty lots and unsold homes. I do not think it is particularly nice or not nice, kind of like the areas it is around (Wyndhmam Lakes, Meadowood, and South Chase)...My biggest concern would be what the area becomes. It could either get nicer or less nice as the economy picks up or continues to sour.

I am helping the OP (kateuk29) since this is the Orlando forum and you are asking questions about south Florida. From the address you gave at your hotel, the closest Best Buy is 10.8 miles north in Aventura. Here is the address from the Best Buy website:

21035 Biscayne Blvd
Aventura, FL 33180
