Hello,
I was hoping you guys would help me.
I'm looking for apt/condo/house for rent in the altamonte springs/maitland areas. I will be new to the area so I'm looking for specific apts names that i should look into based on: safe location, $800/month rent, washer and dryer, nice square footage, short drive about 10-15 minutes drive to Hope way in altamonte springs http://www.google.com/maps/place/900...15bc27:0x5e34e be2dba9ed7e?hl=en[/url]). Please help. thanks

What hours will you be working? That might sway where you search based on traffic. Might be better to be heading from Maitland to Hope St in the AM since most folks are headed in to Orlando in the AM.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I've never been over that way in Altamonte springs in the AM.
I DM'd you also

Is $800 your absolute max?
Visconti condos in Maitland sometimes has places listed for $900

try the Arbors at Maitland Summit, Grand Reserve at Maitland park, Oak harbor, Maitland Oaks, there might be a few others in that area that I'm missing. These are not far from Hope way and safe neighborhoods, older buildings though.
I like this area cause the apt complexes are off the main road (Maitland Blvd) so it's quieter than some of the other complexes that are right on the main roads.

You might want to find something in Altamonte springs though, car insurance is cheaper in Seminole County

I'm pretty sure all the complexes I listed in my last post are in Altamonte Springs, you might want to double check that especially if you want to have cheaper car insurance, Orange county's expensive.

Also try Capistrano and Lake Villas, not sure the pricing here or if they are condos
Oak Harbor might be condos, also not sure of pricing.

These are on Maitland Ave, somewhat close to road but Maitland Ave isn't half as busy as say 434 or 436. It's a pretty road, lots of trees.

Are you able to visit before moving? or you doing it sight unseen?

DM me if you need more info

Thank you sooo much for your reply VTGal. I can give you an address we can work with for the location (9439 Forest City Cove Altamonte Springs, FL 32714) and i'll be working from 8-5. From what I've heard, it would be nice to avoid i-4, right?

I can up a little from 800 on the rent. I'll be contacting visconti and the other suggested apts. What do you think about waterstone apt homes??

Thanks on the tidbit about car insurance. Would have never thought of that

Not familiar with Waterstone, sorry. You'd definitely avoid I-4
Also inquire about electric costs, also call Duke to find out, these older complexes can have high electric bills.
I learned the hard way on the car insurance, definitely shop around.

Try Central Pakway Apartments or Altamira Place in Altamonte.

If you're working at a location on 434 near Maitland Blvd you don't want to be commuting from the east over I-4 as the traffic can be horrific at those hours. Apartments like Lotus Landing ($750-$775) or Landmark at Hailey Walk ($745) would actually be walkable to work and others like Boca Vista ($765) or The Landing ($700) are on 434 north of 436 and about 10 minutes from work.
