what area would be a good location to buy a home in between daytona wifes job and mine in orlando. looking to spend 80,000 to 120,000 need 3 bed 2 bath. no kids but want safe area with easy acsess to 1-4. thanks

Deltona or Lake Mary would be my suggestions.

DeLand, Debary, Lake Mary, or Sanford would be my top choices. The first two are closer to Daytona, the others are closer to Sanford. I would avoid Deltona. If you settle on a city, we can help you narrow down neighborhoods based on your budget.

dont know much about deltona why would you avoid it . is it possible in our price to buy in the other cities .need to acsess 1 -4 easy

is deltona an option it looks like its about halfway between orlando and daytona and prices look very reasonable. are there negetives.

There are negatives... there's not much there to do for the size, traffic can be bad because the roads were not built to handle so many people (so even being close to I-4 can mean a long drive), there are a lot of bad areas that make it difficult for someone unfamiliar with the area to home shop, the schools are mostly dodgy (might not matter to you, but affects home value), etc.

Not all of Deltona is bad, but IMO it's a place you'll need to research and VISIT (possibly multiple times) before buying a house there or you could end up in a bad area.

thanks for the advice i would want quick route onto i-4 and a safe area.anyone reading this live in deltona or familiar with it. looks like there are still a ton of short sale and bank owned homes there. thanks
