I'm looking to rent a apartment here and probably buy it after the contract finishes. A friend's friend is the owner.
But I really would like to have other opinions apart from his.

I will be using it 3 times a year as a vacation condo in Orlando.

I'm from out of town so I don't know any information on the area.

I have some concerns:

Safety, crime, etc ?

Compared to Metrowest and the rest of Orlando ?? Everybody talk to me about it so I got very concerned.

Is this area around Turkey Lake Rd and the Condo itself is it safe ??

HOA fees / Condo fees what do they include ?? Cable, Internet, Water, etc ???

thanks regards,

I used to live there as a kid (from 1998-2002), I remember there were some car break-ins around but I never felt unsafe. I don't think it'd be my first choice to live in, but a lot has changed since then (including the apartments becoming condos). It's not really an unsafe area because it is literally the only neighborhood on that stretch of Turkey Lake Rd. It's surrounded by a hospital, a Wal-Mart and a timeshare resort.

I think it's safer than MetroWest, but again I haven't been in there in over 10 years. You might want to check SpotCrime to see any incidents there.

This area is fine and like sunshine mentioned about there being some car break-ins it's basically the same as it was then, nothing serious ever really happens in the area you're looking at.

Compared to Metrowest it beats it by a little bit, but noticeable amount. It is more established of an area and you don't feel threatened if you ever have to walk or bike in the area.

Do you have a job secured? That might help us.
