JFYI Another thing they don't tell or show you is the awful water stains or discoloration you eventually get with the caretaker returns being so close to the floor bottom.

I would recommend getting a pool company separate from the builder. When we were home shopping the worst pools we saw were put in at the time of the home being built in neighborhoods with a contract with their own pool builder. We purchased a home without a pool so we could put one in. We contracted with a fantastic pool builder who survived the downturn and has been doing business for over 50 years and an A rating with BBB. We wanted a much larger pool than the bathtubs that most homes have here. We have a ten foot deep end, hot tub, pavers, fully screened pool, remote control hottub and pool, robot cleaner, and salt system for under 70,000. Our pool is the length of our home and has tiled sides. We back up to a pond and have a screen because of gators, armadillos who fall into water because they are stupid and blind lol, you don't want a dead armadillo in your pool, or a bunny, EW! Our neighbors paid twice what we paid for their small pool and an ugly retaining wall, and they are refinishing the plaster because the little jet cleaners at the bottom have worn the finish and discolored it as well. Their pool is 10 years old, ours is 3, we've had no problems, it looks as blue as the day we put it in.

get the screen now! Once it is up, you will never even notice it. Like living next to a train...sounds horrible, but after a few weeks you don't even hear the train. Your pool will be a mess without a screen. Bugs, leaves, pollen, etc etc etc
