Exactly and going down the wrong path isn't limited to schools with varied socio-economics as evidenced by school violence issues that have made the news over the past umpteen years. Parents can fool themselves into thinking otherwise, but the reality is they're not protected and you can't let your guard down because they're attending a school with kids from primarily upper middle class families. If you're an involved parent in communication with teachers and school administration, you can pretty much guarantee their success if your kids exhibit any kind of effort.

I agree... parents have to remain involved and pay close attention to what their child is/isnt doing. Any child can get into trouble even in the best of schools. However, while I have no issue with schools that have "varied socio-economics", I personally wouldn't feel comfortable if the vast majority of the student body were from a low socio-economic group for numerous reasons. I feel as if that would just increase the likelihood of them falling into bad situations, or going down the wrong road.

I agree completely, though that isn't the case at Seminole HS.
