Yesterday, DH and I went to check out the new Community Center on Econolockhatchee just north of Lee Vista. It is called the Curry Ford Community Center. It is gorgeous inside! Anyone over 18 can enjoy the Billiards Room, the Game Room, the Library. Stepping inside felt as if I were entering a millionaire's estate home. Lots of warm beautiful hardwoods and stained glass. They even have a state of the art Ballroom (with one of the most gorgeous floors I've ever seen and huge chandeliers) and offer classes in Line Dancing, Ballroom Dancing, etc. There are various exercise classes, karaoke nights, etc. Almost everything is free - there is a minimal charge for some classes.

Unfortunately, the thing we went to check out was the fitness center. It is great with all brand new state of the art equipment. However, you have to be 55 and over to use it! The cost: $5.00 per YEAR! BUMMER! Guess we'll have to keep driving to get to the gym for awhile longer. We could bike to the community center.

Well, at least now I see what some of our HUGE tax $$$$$ are paying for!
