Can anyone tell me about Clermont? Real estate? Schools? Area as a whole? Thanks!

It basically depends are where you are from. I live in Clermont, but moved here from Wellington, Florida, which is South Florida, 3 years ago. The prices for homes here are much, much cheaper then where I use to live. Shopping leaves a lot to be desired. They are in the process of building more stores and such. This school year they will be opening 3 new elementary schools and they are working on a couple of new middle schools. Not sure about the highschools. There are two now and I think there is talk of them building another one. Hope this helps.

Thanks.. It seems like it is a really booming area? Can I rent a house there probably or is it a tough rental market?

Default tons of rental homes

go to Home Rentals, Homes for Rent, Apartments, Houses for Rent, and Rental Homes or the rentalhomesplus.com and craigslist.com

Type in Clermont FL. There are also many agents willing to help you find a rental.

Just driving around last weekend I noticed even more rentals or rent to own situations then even posted online.

Clermont is nice - overall but I don't like how they plopped all the homes up.. however it's a safe area and not a bad commute to Orlando (ok.. downtown anything to I4 is horrible but the turnpike and back roads helps a lot.)

Very easy to rent in Clermont, at least in my neighborhood. The rent is not very high at all and most of the homes are a good size.

Cool I moved to Clermont from Long island

I have been living here in Clermont for two yrs now and it's good if u like alot of peace and quiet! As far as finding a good job and alot of things to do good luck with that!! It is a very boring town when it comes to stuff like that. Just as any town there are bad parts of Clermont as well so be careful when your choosing a area to live especially if u have kids that are in school.

I agree, Clermont is nice and quiet, as for things to do and shopping...it greatly lacks. For work, alot of people work for Disney or other places outside of Clermont. I keep hoping they open the mall they've been talking about for the past 3+ years and give us a movie theater too. That would be nice!
