My fiance is a wrestler, like on the WWE but he workds for independant feds. I was hoping to find some feds out in Oregon so when we move he can have contacted them ahead of time. It's not like the wrestling you would see in high school. So if you have any information on some independant feds otu there, or companies related to wrestling please let me know.

If anyone has any information like that please let me know. I know i've been posting a few thread lately, but i'm "scouting" Oregon out and kind of doing a report to my fiance in order to convince him it's a wonderful place and worth the move, so I hope everyone will be able to respond to my threads because it's real important, thank you.

Default Oregon Wrestling

There are a few indy companies running in Oregon right now. There is the West Coast Wrestling Connection that runs out of Salem and Oregon. Their main focus is a "family-friendly" promotion. They keep things pretty clean language wise and in terms of subject matter. The "WC," as it is called, was a sanctioned territory of the current AWA, but, as of this year, they are independent from the AWA again. NWWA runs in Portland and Salem, their shows are a bit more "adults only." They would be more likely to use swearing and have more "hardcore" type matches and story lines, in the traditional ECW genre. Also running in POrtland is PDX. This used to be Sandy Barr's company, IGA, but with his passing last year, his son, Josh has revamped the company and renamed it. I believe there is one more promotion in Oregon that runs down in Astoria, PNPW. You can find any infromation you might need by looking at the appropriate websites listed below-

Yes its real. The Easter bunny told me so!

I loved wrestling as a kid and into early adulthood. I caught an indy match at a high school in Portland a few years ago. It was pretty good. Laughed my butt off. It just not a huge part of my life now. The guys I think were out of Washington state and it was family friendly. Still good entertainment. I felt like a kid again for an hour. If you are a long time Portlander you might remember "Portland Wrestling", hence my fondness for it.
