Looking at a move to Laguna Niguel but will have to drive up to Long Beach 2 days per week. Can someone help me out with what a commute would look like? I would need to be in Long Beach by 8 or 9 AM on the days I would be there. Google maps shows 40-50 minutes. But I am wondering during peak times on average what I would be looking at. Also, I heard there is a toll way that would cut down my time...what would the costs be for a roundtrip on that??
Thanks all!

Both Laguna Niguel and Long Beach have parts that are far from the freeway/toll road so that will be a big factor. I wouldn't expect it to take much less than an hour door to door, even with the toll road. The roll toad is $11 round trip according to their web site.

There isn't a lot of traffic going that way before 8. If you leave at 7, you will be there by 8 even without the toll road.

Late to this thread, but I agree with Boris. Just leave around or before 7am and you'll make it to Long Beach in about an hour.

Boris is right. I live in LN and used to commute daily to Huntington Beach for work. Leave at 7 and you'll be fine. And the 73 toll road is a great option for shaving time off the commute if traffic is heavier.
