Almost entirely suburban homes built in the 80's and 90's. That and strip malls.

Nice clean bland area. Need a car.

You live there because you have a family and want them safe and want your kids going to good public schools and you want relatively easy access to the coast.

I 2nd this post!!

I live here with a family of 3 kids. Schools are excellent, low crime rate, nice people, quite-quite neighborhood, you'll love raising a family here. The beach is only 4-5 miles away.

It's called Fountain Valley because of the high water table and water springs in the area. Horses that plowed the boggy fields wore special wooden shoes, almost like wooden paddles to keep them from sinking into the bog.
