I hope they tax all the okies into the poor house. Maybe that will keep the losers out of the casinos.

I'm with Goodpasture on all of this. No tea party for this chic.

BUT the good thing is that we live in a Democracy so anyone who wishes to attend definitely should. Something that's often left out is the reason for the original Boston Tea Party. It was because of taxation WITHOUT REPRESENTATION! Oh, sorry~didn't mean to yell.

They are the ones who spent us into the current deficits and they are the ones who created the current tax levels. Now all they do is complain how the current administration is messing up while offering nothing more in ideas for a cure for the current debacle than the failed policies that got us into this situation.
Maybe they are tired of working so hard to put food on their family! I think there is a lot of "unspoken" reasons for the tea party gatherings.

Whatever. I won $500 yesterday, $300 last weekend and $2K last week. Gambling is like alcohol. Some people can take it or leave it, some can go for fun and spend only what they have and then there are some people who allow gambling to become a problem.

If you don't like casinos, simply don't go. Hoping okies be taxed to death to keep them out of casinos sounds like like it's not your bag of tea!

Sooo.... now you can get your truck fixed and buy one of those nifty riding mowers that MK mentioned???

Good thing I wasn't there, I'm a jinx.

Well, since so many Americans were against the bailouts, but our "representatives" voted for it anyway, I would say we ARE being taxed without representation. And how about the stimulus package that NO REPRESENTATIVE read all the way through before they voted to pass it?

*back to whispering*

You don't have to whisper. There's nothing wrong with people having different views of things. Personally, I don't blame either one of the Administrations that get dragged through the mud. I blame it on dumb and greedy people. Case in point~last night DH watched a show about this very thing. One of the banks that got stimulus money was actually raising their interest rates and were trying to TRIPLE their credit card interest rates. Now things like that aren't the fault of the people in Washington. It's the greed of the people who were entrusted with that money.

Just my take on things.

Nothing about taxes is funny. Don't be surprised if this black tie party turns eventually into an old fashioned neck tie party.
