I do nearly all of my bill-paying on line, and one bright tech told me to delete the cookies.
BIG mistake! It took me nearly a month of phone calls to get my computer reset so that the sites where I pay would recognize me again. The ONLY virus I've ever had was one that huddled in the internet temp files, so I set it to delete all temp files every time I turned it off, and presto, no more viruses. But I also have a bunch of blockers and anti-virus scanners of various kinds installed.
