Hello! My husband was accepted into a grad program at OSU for next Fall (Fall 13). I am an English teacher with two years of experience and would love to be able to continue teaching. What is the job market like for teachers in Stillwater? Are there any close towns that I should also look into for teaching? I am assuming more positions will be posted after Spring break.

More information about my experience:

I am certified for Language Arts and History. I also have my masters and have taught middle and high school. I am also certified to teach AP Literature. I prefer High School, but I just want to work with kids.

I would really love some peace of mind and would prefer to stay within the teaching field before looking elsewhere. Thanks in advance!

I don't know about available teaching jobs, but it will be nice if you can teach in the new Will Rogers Elementary School, or the new Highland Park School when both should be ready to open for the first time this fall. For your experience, Stillwater High School would be a very nice place to teach. Stillwater Middle and Junior High Schools are also nice. There is surely some degree of turnover from teachers, who have spouses graduating from OSU. Nearby towns are quite small.
