I would fly into Tulsa, then just take 412 all the way.

Flying into OKC is really best to avoid paying turnpike fees from Tulsa. That can be avoided by taking Highway 51, but it's only two lanex much of the time. So going to the OKC airport is the best deal.

I'm not familiar with any shuttle services to Stillwater from the OKC airport. I think Stillwater lost its bus service several years ago.

There is a shuttle from OKC airport. You have to call them at least 3 days in advance. Airport Express (http://www.taxivan.com/pages/4/index.htm - broken link) Maybe OSU has a shuttle, or you can arrange to share a ride on this shuttle. It says $3.00 each extra passenger at the top, I don't know what that means, but it sounds cheaper to share the shuttle. It stands to reason that more than one potential student would be going from the airport to OSU on any weekend.

youm0nt, it is unfortunately that you do not appear to have anyone in OKC or Stillwater that would be willing to drive you. $200 round trip is quite a bit, though I realize it is a 45 min drive each way. I use to drive from Edmond to OKC and back everyday when I attended OSU. I know they had a bus at one point that went from OKC to Stillwater, but I don't think they still do. You might contact OSU and see what they have available. It may be better to fly to Tulsa if you can catch a their bus to campus.

It is quicker to fly into Tulsa and take 244/412 next to the airport all the way to Stillwater. If you can't rent a car then find out when the OSU-Tulsa shuttle leaves and hook up with that. The OSU-Tulsa campus is downtown about 6 miles from the airport. The ride from downtown to the OSU campus is just over an hour.

True, if you want to take chances with the cops and drive at least 85 mph.
