they were keyed up to look for dope (otherwise why the dog). they found white powder on the seat. you felt it was personal. it was not.
as you said, wrong place wrong time.
why do you say corrupt. there is nothing in the post that indicates corruption.
i have known peace officers here out of uniform to get the same treatment (not black) and recently. the fact that he told them he was a peace officer and came back with the badge in less than 10 minutes was of no avail. being stopped by the cops when they are looking for bad guys is not fun.
but it does not mean they are the bad guys.

The CORRUPT cops of Galvin County Sheriff thug patrol took a fine flake of underarm deodorant (sorry if that reads kinda gross), and said it tested positive for cocaine. How is that not corrupt? Then they tried to get a confession out of me by drilling me with threats of jail if I didn't confess. Remember this was a stop for having a tail light out. The dogs sniffed my car and found nothing NOTHING, or did you not read this. They did however really go after the cops car. That made me think I was going to get something planted. The jerks left all my stuff, that took me an hour to pack, all over the side of the road with no ropes to retie it (they cut my ropes up). As stated before, if I had known that Deodorant could be snorted like cocaine for a high, I guess I would have had a lot more fun in high-school. Forget the fake IDs for beer.....Could have just whipped out the deodorant.

Default Civil rights violated

I am a female who was working on the night of
9/22/07 at a tavern in Maysville. At approximately
12:30 am I was brutally attacked by a male. One
male patron came to my aid and he was attacked by
the male and another male from behind. He was
beaten severly. I went to a hospital and recieved
12 staples and stitches to close a head wound. The
garvin county sheriffs
department was summoned due to the nature of the
injury. The investigating deputy took my and my
witnesses, during this questioning, I asked to call
my husband to which the deputy stated "IT wasn't
any of his (my husbands) buisness". Several days
later I went to the sheriffs office to pick up a
report, I was told to contact the investigating
deputy sheriff. I was asked to give my phone so
he could contact me. To this date he hasn't
returned my calls and refuses to give me a report.
I have been told this man, has a history of attacks
against women. What will it take?
I am sure if this had happened to this deputys
wife, daughter, niece etc...there would have been
a different outcome. My civil rights were violated
twice that night. Can somebody please help me in
this matter?

A CCW.

A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is
attacked in any other place where he or she has a right to be has no duty
to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force
with force, including deadly force, if he or she reasonably believes it is
necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or
herself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony.

I have one and my "W" goes everywhere I can lawfully carry it.

OSCN Found Document:Open and Confidential Records

Quote:
All records of public bodies and public officials shall be open to any person for inspection, copying, or mechanical reproduction during regular business hours; provided:...
And, if they unlawfully deny records...

OSCN Found Document:Violations - Penalties

Quote:
A. Every person who knowingly and willfully violates any of the provisions of Sections 24 through 30 of this act shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by the imposition of a fine of not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or by confinement in the county jail for not more than six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Such violations shall be prosecuted in the county in which said reports are required to be filed.
Write a letter to the District Attorney in Garvin County and complain that state law is being violated by the Sheriff's Department. Demand that the Department comply with the law, or that the DA proceed with prosecution if they refuse. If the DA's office doesn't respond, or if the Sheriff's Department doesn't comply with your records request, contact the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office. It's the job of these two agencies to see that state law is enforced and they will if the law has been violated.

Good luck!
