The Christmas 2004 snowstorm missed us, here's a view from space:

Victoria, Texas (just north of Corpus Christi) took the cake with over 14" of snow! As you can see, SA missed the entire thing.

Oh, it gets even better. Houston gets three inches of snow and they get a White Christmas in 2004. By contrast, that same day, Dallas (where I live) got nothing.

Nothing.

So, which will happen first: The Cubs winning the World Series, or Dallas getting a White Christmas??

Where in the rules does it say that Moderators cannot be informed of their mistakes?
After all, that wasn't "Political Correctness", or was it?
Didn't you know, we moderators are perfect. We're not really human beings like you reg'lar folks. We have been genetically engineered to perfection. How else could we stand to be locked up in the same room all day!!

Do you really have the power to -20 points?

Yeah, I know you can ban an IP address or range of them,
but do y'all have control over the points?

I never seen a point system anywhere else.
Just curious...
And knowing the kind of guy you are, I'm sure you were joking and didn't subtract any points from anyone... I'd wager on that, and I'm NOT a gambler... I notice his points haven't dropped...
(Plus he's OK... I mean "okay", you don't really wanna wreck his rep.)

There's another 20 for you Smart Guy!

PS. I wouldn't be putting smilies after my replies if I meant it!

Yes, we have a control panel which is very complex and can assign infraction points among many other things. But to be honest I hate doing that unless someone deserves it really bad. And 20 points would be unheard of; I think 10 is the max. And none of you guys deserve anything but positive reps..

What we need is an "Over Sight Committee"

I'll be "Chaiman".

I've been on several Committees in Ca. One was a "Project Area Committee" PAC. We had the say over "Redevelopment Projects" and wether or not "Eminent Domain" could be used for the reasons intented.
Can you imagine what it's like having power over the County Government?

Being a "Computer Guy" you can understand my curiosity...
Since the 80's I've always liked to know how things worked in the CyberWorld.

That's only because you only see me on good behavior!

Thanks for the info.

Maybe, but from what I've seen here, I'd vote for the current moderators for that committee...

No, I'm not kissing @ss...
(It's NOT my style!)

If you compare this place to other forums, it's quite pleasant here.
They do a good job...
(Otherwise, I wouldn't keep coming back.)
