Hi everyone,

I am new to Findlay, OH and I am looking to meet some new people. I am 23, single, female, and just started my first job after college. I am trying to find some things to do here and to meet some people. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

If you are into sports/partying, Ram2's suggestion is probably about as good as it gets. BGSU has a decent student section and if you go to a few football games I'm sure you will meet a LOT of people who have had enough 'beverages' to befriend anyone.

Outside of sports and partying, volunteering is a great way to meet people. A great place to look would probably be at the University of Findlay. I'm sure there are a lot of venues where you could help out and in the process meet some college students. There is also an ice skating rink, or at least there used to be, by the University of Findlay and there always used to be a large number of people just skating around having fun.

I hope one of these suggestions helps at least a little. Welcome to Findlay, Ohio!

P.S.
And just in case you are not familiar with the Mansfield Reformatory, and based on the season, I thought that I should at least mention it. The Mansfield Reformatory is supposedly one of the top scariest places on earth (I may be stretching that, it could be just America), and once you make some new friends that would be a great group activity that you could suggest.

Butterz has great suggestions.

Are you into any specific hobbies or sport? Music?

I know it is a big of a drive, but there are some good small venues for concerts in Toledo.

There are also Yahoo groups in the area, sports groups, church groups, etc. It may take some time to look around, but worth looking if you have have a certain hobby you like.

Toledo is only 30 minutes away.

Congratulations on your new job! I suppose I would have to ask what you find interesting? What are your three main activities, outside of work?

There is a certain vibrancy about BG nightlife, which isn't really recreated elsewhere in NW Ohio. On a national scale, it's not very much but I think it's best to compare it on a local level. There are several bars up there with people in their early twenties. As much as I want to change it, Findlay's quite sleepy.

I suppose a could suggest a few bars within town, but I'd like some more information from you first. Are you looking stay in the age range (+-3 years), or are you looking for professional networking? Giving me more details on what you'd like to do and who you'd like to meet will never hurt.
