Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone here can recommend daycare providers in the Centreville and/or Fair Lakes areas.

We are looking to move our child to a daycare closer to this area. One important requirement would be that the daycare would have to open by 6:00am (this is something we are having trouble finding).

Thanks!

I know a very good daycare provider but she is in South Riding. 6AM will be tough to find.

Good luck.

My son attended Willow Creek Academy on Old Centreville Rd. We loved the center. You should also check out this website. You can search by zip code and it will show what violations if any a daycare center has.

Most centers don't open before 6:30 am, you'll be hard pressed to find something that early

Unfortunately I travel a lot for work and my wife is a teacher in Woodbridge, so for her to make it to work on time she would have to take our child to daycare around 6:00am. Right now we're using a daycare near Woodbridge, but it would be nice to find something closer to home so we could both take my daughter to daycare (and it would mean shorter car rides for my daughter, too).

Since your wife is a teacher I would assume a shorter work day at school than you have at your office when not traveling. Wouldn't it make more sense to have her in daycare close to your wife's school, potentially being able to drop her off later?

There are two day care centers in Fair Lakes, Fair Lakes Children's Center near Stringfellow Rd and the other one is near Kohl's, forget its name. Also, along Rt. 50 before the mall there's one across from the Fire Station and there is one going in the new shopping center on the other side of the road where Harris Teeter's will be. Of course, I have no idea what their hours are.

I would not recommend Fair Lakes Children's Center. We had our son there for a short time over the summer, and it was awful. He spent a whole day crying and they didn't even call me - I just walked in the door to pick him up and they said, "he's been crying all day." Great, now you tell me? Come to find out, he had an ear infection.
