Moving to NoVa for a reverse commute job out to the exurbs. Working 4 days a week, and while I would prefer to avoid a long commute, i would go nuts living in the burbs. Aware of price range in Arlington...what's the best metrostop to live close to? Ideally would prefer something walkable, with easy access to 66W in the AM. Realize different folks will have different opinions, just want to get a feel for what's out there.

If I were still young and still single, and limited to NoVa, I'd probably go for Clarendon. Although the crowd can be kinda douchey there, if you know what I mean. If not limited to NoVA, I'd live in Capitol Hill.

Essentially anything between the Clarendon and Ballston Metro stations will likely suit you, especially if you're under 30. If you're over 30, you might want prefer Rosslyn, if only to be a bit removed.

My buddy commutes to Chantilly from Clarendon and he says its around 30 minutes on 66W in the morning if that gives you a gauge of sorts. That said, yeah you're gonna want Clarendon or perhaps Old Town Alexandria (probably would push your commute to 45min - 1hr) if money isn't much of an object for you. You'll have a lot of fun in either of those places
