I have come to the realization that I will probably get more for my money out of a TH than a Single Family Home. I am looking in the $250,000 to $300,000 dollar range. I have two young kids my oldest of wich will start Kindergarten next year. I found a subdivision called Ashburn Village. I will be commuting to the Tyson's Corner area.

Is Ashburn Village a safe place to live?

Do they have good schools?

What is the resale value like for a TH if I were to be in Ashburn for the next 3-5 years?

I have never lived in a TH so I am very nervous about purchasing one and am wondering how life compares in a TH versus a Single Family Home. Thanks in advance!

Ashburn Village is part of Ashburn and I think all of Ashburn is pretty nice. (I live in Ashburn Farm) Schools are excellent. My husband commutes to Tysons as well. Most times it takes him 45 minutes, on bad days about an hour.
We live in a single, but have lived in a TH before. There are pluses and minuses to both. If I were buying a TH right now, I would probably want an end unit for a better resale.
Other parts of Ashburn are: Ashburn Village, Ashburn Farm, Broadlands, Brambleton. (Brambleton has some GREAT deals right now in terms of TH, but your commute would be an additional 15 minutes UNLESS you took the Greenway, at about $4 one way a day.
