Please tell me the best way folks commute from Great Falls to the Pentagon. It doesn't seem like there is a clear route when I go the Metro website. What are others doing and how long does the commute take?
Thanks so much!

Are you talking about by car or by public transit (in short supply in Great Falls).

Driving, most would take Georgetown Pike (Route 193) to Dolley Madison (Route 123) to the GW Parkway south. During rush hour, I think it could take 40-60 minutes, but am not entirely sure.

What JEB said. But make sure you get parking at the Pentagon first--because most people don't.

Thanks! I'm finding that commuting via public transit is going to be about an hour each way to the Pentagon whether it is Vienna, Oakton, McLean or Great Falls(driving to Reston and taking the Fairfax Connector.) Whew!! We won't have parking at the Pentagon so transit is going to be a must!

You could also drive in and park at the Pentagon City Mall garage, but I have no idea what it costs.

I don't think it would take a full hour if you lived in Vienna or McLean and were driving to the Vienna, Dunn Loring or West Falls Church Metro stations and then changing trains in Rosslyn. But I do think getting out of Great Falls by car could definitely take some time, as roads like Georgetown Pike and Old Dominion can get fairly congested.
