Furniture Store Recommendations for Chantilly/Herndon Area? (Fairfax, Washington: condo, home)

I am looking for recommendations for furniture stores that sell "the better"
furniture at good prices. No press-board or cheaply made stuff. Good, solid, heavy, and trendy furniture without the Ethan Allen price tag.

Any store recommendations in the Chantilly/Herndon/Fairfax area?

CORT has a place in Chantilly near the Expo Center. I filled up my San Diego condo from there, and my dining room set and living room tables were solid wood.

Personally, I seriously love Craigslist. Even the more expensive stores often have pressed board quality. I generally look for brand name (Baker, Mitchell Gold, etc...) and solid wood. There are so many people around here that often redecorate and also so many baby boomers who are clearing out for a more simple lifestyle. It takes some time, but I have not only scored great deals, but I've met some really nice people along the way. Good luck!

I second Belfort. We bought a sectional set there last year, and so far, it is doing very well with us, our baby, and our 2 dogs (even though it's a very light tan color - cleans very easily!).

We've purchased a few things from Belfort over the years, and we've been very happy with all of it.

Belfort is good to look at, but you can find that same furniture much cheaper elsewhere.

Also check Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn. The nearest are in Tysons.
