I am so sorry to hear about your situation. Have you thought about moving out of the city? Just from your post it sounds like the cost of living is incredibly high where you live.

Gotta love the internets. Truly. (Referring to the "tsk, tsk, tsk" post about being "alone" and "why" I'm homeless.)

Before I forget I want to thank everyone for their kind words and postings of resources in the area. Some I'd heard of, some I hadn't. I personal-messaged a few people on here about job leads, etc. and we'll see what happens. But THANK YOU!!!

BMWguy--For some reason your post just stood out...THANK YOU for such kind, uplifting words! Wow.

And even to the poster here who sounded, um, "motherly"--there were some good points in there. Not everyone's a great expressionist. He/She is probably a really nice person. But for the record my hair and face are usually clean and my clothes don't stink and I don't drink any alcohol. Chuckling...And to clear up another thing--Not a lesbian and not shrinking away from potential employers. (I even applied to do house cleaning and they claimed they needed folks to "start immediately!". Still nothing.)

Also, Alyzza was merely quoting the flabberghaster poster.

Again, I really appreciate all of the good wishes. Lately I've been suffering from serious headaches but I'm still pressing on. Still on snagAjob, craigslist, monster, careerbuilder, etc., and believing something great is just around the corner. I just hope it hurries up. It's cold out here!

Ali, are you asking if I have a habit of kicking people when they are down? I hope you saw the ">". That means I was "quoting" from someone else's post. I was saying that I don't remember seeing that when I read the posting.

No, I feel terrible for anyone who is down, lonely, depressed… and I hope more than ever that TwoPaychecks will find a warm place to stay and a job asap.
