Can anyone recommend the best area in Prince William County in terms of safety, school system, housing and close proximity to 95. Thanks so much!

I would look along the 234/Dumfries Rd corridor going towards Manassas from 95. There are numerous housing developments along this area with some nice housing and in quiet areas. 234 is a pretty easy road to traverse to get to 95. You can go as far as Independent Hill and still get to 95 without much problems. Check which schools your kids would attend. I would avoid the area if Potomac HS is on the list. The schools off 234/Hoadly Rd and Spriggs RD are generally considered better schools.

I'd focus my search on areas that zone to Brentsville, Battlefield, Osbourn Park, and maybe Forest Park. Generally, the newer neighborhoods in western PWC will be better than the older areas of eastern PWC.

But oh so far from I-95.

I would probably concentrate on the Montclair area and neighborhoods surrounding that.

Default Where on 95?

If you are going to Belvoir or Quantico, Gaineville and Haymarket are still in play. If you need to travel further north, listen to the other Posts. Good luck

I'd say look just west of 95 along 234. Some of the neighborhoods that come to mind have already been mentioned (Montclair), Ashland, Brittany, Meadowbrook Woods, Winding Creek.

Whoops, didn't read the "close to 95" bit.

Montclair and Lake Ridge would be my top choices if closeness to 95 was paramount and cost no concern. There's some really nice places in those two areas.
