I just noticed today is Friday the 13th. In some places I've lived that's a big deal, and other places not so much.

So, how about here in Nova? Is Friday the 13th something people notice or care about? Is it a topic of conversation at the office? Do you know people who'd be afraid to do things like get a haircut on today? Or... do you know people who think this is a lucky day?

Personally never knew anyone who cared about it! Maybe it's a lucky day though. I was expecting something bad to happen at work today but it actually turned out in my favor.

Hmmm. We're painting the foyer today and I've already walked underneath a ladder and stepped on a few cracks. So watch out if you're anywhere near me!

I know a couple that got married on a Friday 13th. One lucky result is that they never forget their anniversary.

If you start dancing like a chicken today, that might really cause some bad luck. Especially if you're on the metro at the time you start doing this. Or worse, the metro escalator!

I only knew one person in this area who was superstitious enough to take precautions, follow certain practices "just in case" and give anything like this a second thought, and she was from another country (Philippines) - very religious and superstitious.

I'm in FL, but, no, nothing bad's happened to me (yet - still have 1 hr. and 20 min.!). I had a genuinely *awful* Friday the 13th not too long ago, though, but I chalked it up to coincidence.

Yesterday, on Friday the 13th, I got a part-time job (wahoo!) and won a free haircut at a nice salon in Vienna at Girl Scout bingo night. I guess it was good for me.
