stuntmonkey - FWIW, I think you should have laughed at the sarcasm. I did. :-) Brambleton is very nice and if it works for your commute, that's perfect. It's probably where I'd live if I lived in Ashburn.

TechRider - as for comparing Ashburn schools with those of McLean or Vienna, the Ffx County schools always seem to do better in the "rankings" than schools most anywhere else in the country, much less the state. But I seriously doubt the Loudoun County schools are much different. For the most part, families and kids in NoVA are very similar, whether you are talking about Ffx or Loudoun County. As I tell everyone around here, I would pick a place to live based on your commute. If you find a place to live within 30 minutes of your work, you will be happier than the vast majority of the people in this area, even if you have to give up a nicer home or a nicer car for the privilege.

SallyField, you hit the nail on 30 mins from work place. I totally agree with that. In the last 5 months of my stay in VA, I have tasted little bit of traffic and I am pretty sure I will be able to give up the dream of a brand new built home for an older home closer to work.
