I just learned the holiday zoolights at the National Zoo are free this year. Cool! I've always wanted to go there and check them out.

We went a few weeks ago and thought it was great. I like that many of the animal exhibit houses are open so you can go in and warm up. The animals in the Small Mammals House are pretty active at night, so it's nice to see that.

I think we're going to try to go Tuesday. I love christmas light displays like thiss, especially ones you can walk through instead of the typical drive through. I'm stoked!

We went Friday night. I'm glad it was free...it's not something I'd ever pay for. There were a dozen or so light up animals along the pathways, and you could go into the small mammal house, the reptiles, and the ape house. Unfortunately, nearly all the animals were asleep in their cubby holes, so the only things we saw were the giant snakes (ew!) and a couple squirrels

If you have the schedule to accommodate it, personally, it's much better to just go to the zoo during the day when you can actually see the critters, and then drive around a Christmas-y neighborhood at night to get your light fix.
