I did a Vienna Photo Tour last year https://www.city-data.com/forum/north...ur-vienna.html but I didn't get to cover everything. I finally got around to photographing some of the other highlights in Vienna - mostly north of Maple.

First up is some more of Church Street which is Vienna's "historical downtown"

Here you can see a view looking southwest on Church Street.

The little white building is the old original library. It is open once per month for viewing.

Next is the "back" view of the Town Green that you can see from Maple Avenue (Route 123)

Just north of Church Street is a light industrial area. There are autobody shops, glass repair, a pet store, a few karate places, a hardware store that I just discovered today, and a bunch of other light industrial-type places.

A few cool hangout places seem to be opening up in this light industrial area. These streets are perpendicular to Church Street, again on the north side of Church. First up is a place called The Soundry which is a coffee shop, art studio, music place. It looks like a cool hangout place.

It looks like a kids' party place is opening, too.

The W&OD runs through this area. This is the old station that is now used by the model railroaders club.

Back onto Church Street there is a new coffee shop that one of the Madison Girls' basketball coaches just opened. We went in there a few weeks ago and chatted with the owner. He is very nice and the coffee was great. They will be roasting all of their beans onsite. They plan to do an open-mic nite in the future. Another place for youngsters to hang out.

Next are a few more shots of the shops and restaurants on Church Street.

Last is a shot of the side of one of the buildings on Church Street. I think it houses a few businesses. The church in the background is on Lawyers Road to get your bearings.

Now I switched direction and am heading Northeast on Church Street. I took some pictures of some older houses that aren't the typical ramblers common on the South side of Vienna. Most of the Vienna housing stock is nothing to write home about, but there are a few gems hidden here and there. These are on Church Street just east of PennyWise Thrift Store.

This is heading north on Glyndon Street. It is a picture of the entrance to Glyndon Park.

Next I headed over to historic district in the residential area. This area is west of Church Street on the west side of Lawyers Road. There are many big, beautiful, old (and added-on) houses in this neighborhood.

This residential area also houses Green Hedges, a private school. I couldn't get too close because I didn't want anyone to be suspicious of me taking pictures of a school that is now back in session.

Continuing West to Nutley Street, I got a shot of one of the two water towers in town (the other is on the south side of Maple). Notice the more typical and less attractive housing you see in Vienna (splits, bi-levels, ramblers, and colonials).
