one of the nicest parks near our house in is promised land state park.

got there nice and early just after sunrise today .labor day 2009 and took some pics of the boats laying by the edge of the water. the entire time the lighting went thru so many stages.

what i find amazing is every time we have been there the pictures look so different . the different lighting scenerios as the sun rises are really cool.

playing with the different exposure settings at the same time gives very different pictures... the one with the canoe was origionally just a sillouette at normal exposure because the bright reflections from the sun makes the camera think its a bright scene.

by exposing the picture at a +1 on the compensation wheel instead of a silloutte i got more of a picture with not just an outline, did the same with the reflections on the water and the sand. you can actually see the color in the sand but again i had to force the camera to shoot alot brighter then it would normally
