Planning a visit in about two weeks to check out more communities in the Pike County/Wayne County region. Have been to Hawley and love the small town feel to it. Have heard Honesdale is nice as well. Can anyone recommend some nice communities to check out in the Honesdale area? Thanks.

Will you be commuting to NY/NJ for work? (Like seemingly everyone else? LOL!) If not, then I'm a bit partial to the quiet country town of Waymart, about midway between Honesdale and Carbondale along U.S. Route 6. Hamlin is also a very nice area, and it's quite convenient to Scranton for shopping, dining, nightlife, etc. I think you may want to check out a community called "The Hideout" in the Lake Ariel/Hamlin area. Basically, you can't go wrong anywhere in Wayne County.

Won't be commuting from NY for work. Will be using our home for weekends, vacations and then retirement. Can you name specific communities so that we can check on the HOA dues and ammenities? Thanks!
