Folx,

is there a good sauna builder/supply store in the area ?
Will be looking for cedar/aspen planks, insulating alum foil,
lava or river stones/rocks - the variety that doesn't crack
when making steam.

I am afraid I'd have to resort to common cooking foil if I can not find
the "builder" variety.

If you want to save some $, I would skip the sauna specialty shops and venture out to a local lumber yard or Ace Hardware Store.

They can order your wood, as well as the contractor grade insulation, and most likely have less of a markup.

As far as river rocks and such, try a landscape/garden center place.

I have a couple questions 4 you;

Are you building it from scratch?
What are you using as a steam generator.
Are you putting up mold resistant blueboard/cement board along the wall?

The reason I ask is that I would love to build one in my basement. A sauna/steam after being out in the cold all day would feel great on my old bones.

I have had that happen to me before, not only on this website.

I sometimes ramble on with posts and it surely sucks when Al Gore rejects my post when I hit submit...

I sometimes use Word to type a long response, then paste a copy into the forum - in case of hiccup, all is not lost.

I trust Bill Gates more than Al Gore. (Bill worked & earned his fortune)
