I am moving from out of state and I have no idea about the neighborhoods in the Scranton area. My husband is working out of Gouldsboro. There are a list of houses I have found online, but I have no clue about whether it is a good area. We have 2 kids ages 1 and 3.

Any advice?

None of those are especially close to Gouldsboro, but Scranton is probably the closest commute, about a 20 min drive on 380, not too bad, but that could be a hairy drive in winter weather.

I do know that the 300 block of Rebecca is a good neighborhood, and Schlager St. is a nice street.

I would avoid Mulberry St....that right next to the University of Scranton and chances are you'd have partying college students for neighbors.

Honestly, if he's going to be working in Gouldsboro, you might want to check out Moscow.

agreed...Moscow..Daleville..even the East Mountian section of Scranton. The Sterling rental might not be that bad of a commute either. There is a pretty direct route from there to Gouldsboro. The 1st 3 locations we have mentioned would be much closer to services and ammenities though. Anything located on 307 from East Mountain to I-380 would work.
