I am moving to North Dakota this July. I am looking forward to the move, I love fishing, hunting, camping and the outdoors in general. But.. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they have any sushi rest. in North Dakota??? I love sushi, I lived in Japan for a while and got used to having it at least once a week. Thanks for the info!
I suppose it depends where in North Dakota you are moving to. The bigger cities, like GF (Grand Forks), Fargo, Minot, Jamestown do. I'm not sure of the quality. If you are in the GF area, there's always the option of driving up to Winnipeg, Canada for some good Sushi (about a 2 hour drive). North Dakota is not a big state so we are limited on alot of things. Anything else you wanna know??
We are sushi lovers too, and I don't have good news for you. There is sushi in Fargo but it just isn't really great if you know what sushi is supposed to taste like. But...if you are moving to Fargo there will be those trips to Minneapolis and you can get decent sushi there. It still will not be as good as CA or Japan but is a good treat once in a while. The same goes for mexican, chinese, etc. There is good indian food in Fargo.
I am actually moving to Minot.. I will even take the grocery store sushi!! ha,ha.. I live in Alaska now and believe it or not, there is no decent sushi here either, so I go to the Fred Meyers (like a super Wal-Mart) and buy it there. It is not near as good, but it's okay. Thanks again!
There is excellent Thai food at the Thai Orchid, LeeLa Thai, and the Drunken Noodle downtown. Now LeeLa Thai is serving FRESH SUSHI. Flown in every Thursday with the best sushi chef in town!
