Leaving today...later in the day, and start knocking on doors Monday Morning.

I plan on traveling to Billings, checking Job office, and then to Sidney, MT the Dickerson and up to Williston sometime mid week.

Got my Suburban setup for sleeping in...I've done the car thing before...Washington DC for 5 months one year.

I have been living in Montana for over a year and have very good gear so that is covered.

Bed is a 3" think heavy duty foam pad and camping pad and this will inside a large cardboard box. heavy Military artic sleeping bag set inside the box....I can sleep anywhere anytime and not have a problem.

Got a ice chest, water container and small toilet.

Tools, (in case I get a electrician or electronic tech job, clothing for working outside or maybe an office job, if offered...

extra fuels cans to get me home. and several credit cards that have lots of room.

been ready to go for few weeks, but have been filling out applications like crazy and I think I'm just going to have to go knocking on doors.

wish me luck and say a prayer for me.

Somebody keep a space open at Wal-Mart...I'll be there soon I think..

If you are a licensed electrician you should have a job in a heartbeat. Every electric company and contractor is screaming for them.

good luck! I love reading stories about people going here for a better life, willing to work absolutely insane hours to get it. Puts things in perspective.

I also wish you the best my prayers are with you. I will be up there in a few weeks. I thought I could try my luck along with many others. My wife and I are both going to look for employment. We are only going to stay for a few days. We are going to pound the pavement hard while there. Take care and stay warm. Keep us posted.

Ya, I've heard there is a huge demand for electricians in the oil fields. I know of one place in town that won't take new residential customers because of the boom and lack of help.
