She wasn't sure but seemed confident that they'd be on top of it. I have a feeling that for those of you who've been able to keep filing, you'll see money Monday or Tuesday.

I have been filing every week and was on EB two weeks before it ended. Do we need to call or will they know? I don't want to inundate ESC because I am sure their phone is ringing off the hook.

If the Governor does, in fact, have the authority to do this, I'm shocked that it took seven weeks for her to figure it out," State House Speaker Thom Tillis (R) said in a statement. "It’s probably more than a coincidence that she chose this action on the same day that we are approving a budget to fix this problem. We must hold the Constitution sacred –- we cannot allow a Governor to rule the state by decree."

Don't deflect, you accused me of not being able to ascertain facts...I'm just asking you what facts did I miss, that's all. What do I have wrong regarding the Governor's inability to get this executive order signed in the first couple weeks of this mess?

Waiting to hear back from the DOL? And yet everywhere I've looked...it says the Governor signed the executive order today, the executive order is dated today, and a Perdue spokesperson stated that the DOL has reviewed the executive order. That tells me this is something that wasn't in process for 7 weeks...it's more likely the executive order was put together, sent to the DOL for approval, and signed off on within the last few days. So, why the wait? If the governor and her advisors couldn't figure out that she could go the executive order route after all of this time....that's very stupid. And if she knew she could use it all along and held it back for political purposes, that puts her and her administration right on the same level as the NC GOP.

I haven't posted lately but have continued calls and emails as per our usual agenda. I just wanted to say THANK TO ALL of you for keeping me informed, especially the Senior members and those who seem to have had "inside" information. As bad as it has been to know so many suffered from EB triggering off, it's been a tremendous relief to know I didn't have to go through this alone.

I did speak with my local ESC rep who was under the impression payments were retro. She did not have a directive from her supervisors or an estimate as to when money would be released but she assured me it would be soon... and we'll never have to hope for "maybe next week" AGAIN!!!

Again dude, read, I stated we cant see what happened. All you can do is assume. Even if she thought she could of it still makes sense to ensure she can. I am not saying it took her 7 weeks. It could have been 3 weeks of argueing before she decided to check into it, since the pubs were not budging. I am not saying it does not put her on the same level, I am saying it is easier to see their problems, because hers, if there, is hidden.

This whole debate over EB could've been shelved and the stresses the unemployed have had over this could've been lowered had she and her advisors gotten EB flowing again through executive order. These people could've focused solely on their job searches had our Governor been proactive in advancing forward with the executive order in April. But she didn't. She and her advisors were again, either too stupid to figure out that they could go the executive order route, conveniently before a big budget vote...or they knew all along and just waited for the right moment politically...a veto-proof budget vote.

Judging by your previous posts attacking the GOP for playing stupid political games, you should be equally as angry with your governor. But instead, you're making excuses for her and complaining about my opposition to her indecisions. Pretty telling.
