I expect nothing less from Tepper. Larger capacity and amenities could make the difference. There is a can-do attitude in the air and that is most important when it comes to bidding like this. Unfortunately, there is only one slot left and the competition will be fierce, I am afraid. Hopefully we can bring a professional MLS team in North Carolina, be that in Charlotte or Raleigh.

My guess is MLS stops at 30 to 32

It should be in the state capital. And like usual, eastern NC continues to get subsidy after subsidy. All the money poured into Eastern NC, is state government jobs the best that our investments can show for?

Lol, I’m pretty sure the Global Transpark was the kind of thing the poster had in mind when mentioning pouring money into ENC with little return. It’s fair to say the ambitions for the park have been scaled back dramatically to deal with reality.

Honestly the global transpark idea really would have worked at RDU, PTI (Greensboro) or Charlotte/ Douglas where there is a large workforce and better transportation networks. Don't know what the state was thinking. But honestly there is a lot more going on at Piedmont Triad International than the Global Transpark. With companies like Honda Aircraft Company and FedEx, PTI is really becoming the real global transpark.

Greensboro probably would have been a great place for that.

The state wanted to spur economic development in the relatively economically depressed Kinston/eastern NC area, which had the land for it.
