I'm going to be spending Christmas with a couple who I am friends with. Her parents and her sister will also be there. My friend told me that her sister and her parents were going to be getting me gifts, just very small token items, nothing fancy. Her sister is easy to buy for cause I know what she likes. But I'm stumped at what to get her parents. They are both 70 and diabetic so chocolate is not such a good plan. And they have a ton of scented candles so that doesn't work. Any other ideas? I am totally stumped!
They are going on a road trip in their RV a couple of days after Christmas and will be gone like a month. Can you think of anything for that which would be helpful?
Gift cards to either a store or a place they can eat at.
Not everyone would appreciate that. I know I wouldn't.
This will likely be an unpopular opinion but I do not do gifts this time of season. If there isn't a no gift giving agreement in place I would not attend...
At 70 years old and diabetic, food type gifts should be easy to chew and sugar free, so maybe cheeses and crackers? OR add sausage rolls for a snack? OR a fruit bowl/basket?
Or when going on an RV trip, sometimes it is nice on a road day to stop for lunch rather than cooking, so maybe a gift certificate for a chain that would be in their area? Cracker Barrel? Dennys? Subway? Try to think of places that would be in the area of their trip
