We she see. But much of my resentment will likely dissipate after she's gone because she'll no longer be there to evoke it anymore. Out of sight, out of mind...

She's 72, she could be around for another decade or two. Planning to live the next 20 years of your life like this? Get some help and reclaim your life.

It's not always that simple. The lasting effects she's had on you as a person are still going to be there.

She has lupus and diabetes. It's unlikely she'll make it to 90. Another 8-10 years is more likely, and something I can deal with.

Please look into why you have so much anger. My bet is enmeshment or emotional incest. Just get help to unload this weight on your shoulders

OP, you’re an adult now - your own person. She can’t hurt you anymore. I know, easy to say. I do think some have offered ok insight and advice and hope some of it has helped you rather than inflamed.

Justified or not, I’m sorry that you are suffering and wish you peace.
