We don't like drama. Everyone gets along, so it is fun, not boring. We cook and eat, talk, laugh, exchange presents, play games, play musical instruments, watch TV, etc.
The perfect way to create drama in your particular case is to have all the family sit around a computer as you bring up all the threads you've created about them. Couldn't create much more drama than that ...
I love boring holidays. My family is quite boring compared to so many... The few who get divorced keep their dealings quiet. No one gets in trouble with the law, expelled from school, addicted to drugs, kids taken away, etc. We would be the worst family for a "reality" TV show.
I do like that this question is brought up because some people really crave drama--they're not happy unless there is some sort of chaos going on. People like that are not allowed in my life!

Reason: more
Christmas is tomorrow and I will be joining about 20 of my wife's extended family for THE HOLIDAY. It will be as boring as hell. (I am sure the boring people think I am boring too.)
Lots of people on City Data complain about drama at family events. I would love some drama. Bring in some Tea Party voters so us liberals can have some one to argue politics with. Instead of being so passive aggressive and acting like they like me, I wish those relatives who dislike me would tell me, so we have a starting point for discussion. Lets raise our voices, lets disagree and bring some energy to the room. GIVE ME SOME DRAMA at Christmas!
cityhopper, E! or WeTV support your mission of that type of juice, entertaining drama. Although, I'd like to think what you are trying to say is leave the phoniness at the door. If we are family we should be able to recognize our differences and have meaningful communication rather than going through the charades year after year.
I prefer peacefulness. An ideal holiday would be to travel and each day someone plans the day and restaurants visited. Then we all journal our adventures and then read each others perspectives about the trip.
