I would go - a little snow doesn't scare me!

You can always reschedule...

Sounds like the friends are just snow weenies... afraid whenever there is a few flakes predicted.

We are having our annual Christmas open house tomorrow. I am near ski resorts and we are to have snow. I have 25 people coming. No one has cancelled as they all know how to drive in the snow!

Why complain about weather? You can relocate to where the weather is more agreeable. That's what I did.

Are you sure they are really afraid of a possible snowstorm and not just an excuse to not meet with you?

That happened to me on my 30th birthday. Only one couple came to the hotel we were staying that had a nice indoor pool. We went to this Mom and Pop steak house and a Grandpa sang happy birthday to me, but the best part was when the family attorney walked in with a woman that wasn't his wife. I'll gladly trade places with you. I'll be on the slopes or sledding with the shorties. Do you like winter sports? Happy Birthday anyway.

Ummm, it is winter... You can't predict the weather at all this time of year, I am sure you know that.
